For the past 15 years, the mission for the Mortgage Center has been, simply, to help our customers get the very best mortgage loan for their particular needs. Our goal is to offer the lowest possible rates and closing costs available in the markets we serve.
We also strive to close loans fast with the least hassle to our customer. Because we have been serving customers in both Alabama and Georgia for over a decade, we realize the importance of maintaining an impeccable reputation and take pride in the number of repeat customers and referrals we have seen over the last 15 years. The key to this is honesty, professionalism, and integrity- the key character traits that we require of all our loan officers and employees.

Company History

The Mortgage Center began in August 1992 as a one-man operation located in Cullman Alabama. The company now has 6 offices- 4 in Alabama and 1 in Georgia and has grown to one of the largest independent mortgage brokers in Alabama. The company has funded over 10,000 mortgage loans since its inception.

The company is headed by Pat Moody, who has 20 years experience in mortgage banking and another 15 years as a commercial banker. He's a past president of the Alabama Mortgage Brokers Association, and currently serves on the Association's Board of Directors.

The staff of The Mortgage Center consists of  loan officers- all trained and certified residential mortgage lenders with over 60 years combined experience. In addition, the company has fully trained support personnel ranging from appraisers to processors to closers.

The company is certified with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, and numerous wholesale lenders that offer a full array of loan products and rates. The company strives to stay on the cutting edge of mortgage technology allowing us to offer loan programs with low rates, fast approvals, and efficient closings.

The company is a member of the Alabama Mortgage Brokers Association, the Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers, the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, the Mortgage Bankers of Alabama, the National Mortgage Bankers Association, the Alabama Board of Realtors, the Better Business Bureau, and numerous Chambers of Commerce.
